In the past few weeks I've picked up Warioware Touched, Yoshi's Touch and Go, Donkey Konga, and Donkey Kong Jungle Beats. I've always been a diehard Nintendo supporter because for the most part I only like games they make since they usually pretty simple. Never liked the Metroid or Zelda series, though, probably because they require a commitment. But I love gimmicks, and through my observations over the past few weeks, so do everyone else.
The DS was a huge disappointment when I got it. 1 game worht buying and it was a fucking port. Luckily I never owned it although I'd play random levels and fuck around at people's houses here and there. Honestly, I never liked it because of the overwhelming sense of being alone in the castle which in turn was depressing. The game was cool with additions and mini-games but it got old after a few weeks.
Warioware Touched came out 2 months after I stopped playing. The game is probably awesome compared to the GBA version, but the only version I played was for GC. The multiplayer adds a social level to the game that can't be replicated on the DS, but the ideas for the games are really cool. You can move around stuff on screen, pick it, pull it, scratch it, draw it, and even blow it. The game makes great use of all DS features so it is a unique gaming experience. The theme is weird, wacky, and right up my alley. You can pick it up and play it for a minute or hours. I blew through the game because I was sick that weekend but everyone I knew (family, friends) wanted to try it. They all caught on rather quickly and seemed to enjoy their time with it. Somewhat unfulfilling but I can definitely see playing it again.
The reason I probably stopped was because of Touch and Go. I wanted something new to play while at the hospital. There is so much strategy to this game and it also makes great use of all DS features including the screens, touching, and the mic. It is so nostalgic because everything is out of Yoshi's Island for SNES. There is no story, however, and you just play the game to try and get high scores which are measure by how far you can get without dying. This proves to me that stories mean nothing if the gameplay isn't there because it stands on its own without a story. It seriously fucking rules to the point where you just have to experience it.
Donkey Konga is a music game and while it is really, really hard at first it gets easier to learn and so difficult to master. The song selections are pretty awesome because some are cheesy and others are Nintendo song with a mix of pop and children songs. Of course the game is awesome in multiplayer.
The blow away game of all of them is Jungle Beats though. The game is SO INTUITIVE. The amount of control you have using the bongo is superior to any other video gaming experience. They are so responsive it is hard to believe. The game is so beautiful, too. When I get done with a level I just sit back and go "wow."
Basically what it all comes down to is I look forward to what Nintendo has in store for the future. I'm a fanboy, but I think that if I didn't like a game I would know it even if they put it out. Case and point - Metroid Prime. It was just flat out boring and while I came close to completing it, I had no incentive. All of this gimmicky shit is actually providing with new gaming experiences which are both refreshing and fun. I'm not a big fan of super realistic or even serious video games. I like pick up and play bursts of gaming and that is what Nintendo does best. If anyone here can relate with me then I suggest you check out all 4 because they are worth the time and money.

Sounds like good stuff to me. I've only played the GBA version of Warioware, and that was awesome.
