About This Footage
The Backyard Wrestling Link has announced the recovery and digitization of a lost Garbage Everywhere Wrestling (GEW) VHS tape. Dated Summer 1998, this footage predates The Backyard Wrestling Link's established 2004-2015 archive, offering a rare look into an earlier period of backyard wrestling history. As primary-source material, it provides a unique window into the scene as it existed nearly two decades ago.
The recently recovered tape is expected to feature authentic underground wrestling action from 1998, This discovery is a significant addition to the study of lost media and the evolution of backyard wrestling, preserving raw, unfiltered content from a pivotal era when the genre was still taking shape. The full video premieres tonight on The Backyard Wrestling Link.
